Why Grunor

The smart premium choice.

01

The look and feel of stone

Tap to read

A deep, natural stone pattern that pairs beautifully with natural oak. To the touch it feels like stone, not like a coated board.

02

Non-porous surface

Tap to read

It does not absorb water, stains or dirt. Even fully submerged it keeps its appearance and stays solid — like stone.

03

Restorable surface

Tap to read

Solid material through its full thickness. Years later, scratches and damage are sanded and polished out without removing the worktop. The surface looks new again.

04

Impact resistant

Tap to read

The material is not brittle, so it does not crack or chip. Edges and corners stay intact even where life happens every day.

05

Worked like wood

Tap to read

Cutting, drilling, sanding and CNC machining on ordinary joinery machines. Fewer complications in fabrication mean shorter lead times and a lower final price.

06

Sustainable material

Tap to read

Grunor is made from 80 % recovered waste material and is designed to be reprocessed into new material.

01

Shaping

Tap to read

Cutting, drilling, screwing, sanding and CNC machining with standard joinery tools. The mineral in the composition is chosen so that it is no harder than tool steel.

02

Bonding

Tap to read

The material bonds easily using a suitable two-component adhesive. Joints stay tight, waterproof and invisible.

03

Finishing

Tap to read

Sand the surface and edges with a hand sander in three steps: grit 120, then 600, then a G2000 or G4000 polishing pad.

Sustainability

We build sustainable materials from waste.

Our vision is to turn waste raw materials into useful, high-quality materials. Grunor is made from 80 % recovered waste and is designed to be reprocessed into new material, closing the loop.

Not because it is expected of us, but because we believe sustainability is a property of an advanced future.
